• Enter the SAIME platform: www.saime.gob.ve
• When entering the portal, select the “request procedure” option and log in with the ID number and password of one of the minor’s parents.
• When you enter, you must select the option for a minor’s ID and then click on request an ID for a boy, girl or adolescent for the first time.

IMPORTANT: You will have to provide the details of the birth certificate of the minor as a state, municipality, parish, among others. It is mandatory to fill out the items that have a red asterisk.

The website will show you these steps to complete the application

• Enter the applicant’s identity data and their personal traits such as skin color, blood type, among others.
• Nationality is step number two, in which you must complete the items with the applicant’s birth certificate. In this step you must also provide the information of the health center where the applicant was born.
• This step corresponds to the addressHere you must register the applicant’s residence information with the items related to the geographic location and type of housing.
• Who will accompany the applicant? This is the information you must enter in the sixth step. Here you must specify whether the minor will be accompanied by both parents, only one parent, a guardian or a relative. You must then enter the personal information of the selected companion.
• You will now be able to review all the information provided and modify any editable field. You will also be shown the documents you must bring on the day of your in-person appointment, such as the birth certificate of the child or adolescent and a copy of the ID of the person accompanying you.
• Schedule your appointment. Here you must choose the SAIME office where you want your appointment to be held and you can select from the available dates and the time that best suits you.
• Finally, you will need to download the formprint it and attend on the scheduled day.
