Egyptian actress Mervat Amin said, in television statements, that despite her marriage 5 times, she only regrets one marriage.
Amin confirmed that she regretted her first marriage to the Syrian artist Mowaffaq Bahjat, noting that she was young when she married him and did not know how to properly evaluate things.
The Egyptian artist indicated that her parents opposed her at that time, “I suffered from their anger for a while, but I was determined to go through the experience and did not listen to anyone.”
Mervat concluded her speech by saying, “I paid the price for my stubbornness in the end, as there were many differences between us and we did not reach an understanding, which prompted me to request separation and resolve to do so, despite his many attempts to fix things.”
