Everything is being ready for Miss Universe 2023 to be held next November; For this reason, the countries chose their representatives for this contest that will evaluate not only beauty, but also leadership, elegance, personality, communication skills, security, social activism, among others. One of them is Diana Silva, Miss Venezuela, who has been preparing for several months.
She was elected queen of her nation on November 16, 2022, a date since which she has maintained a volunteer agenda with the social program of the Miss Venezuela organization “I dream I can” in alliance with several non-profit associations, where has given workshops on self-esteem and gender violence to 25 girls from the Cota 905 community, located in Caracas. 3. HE SPENT PART OF HIS CHILDHOOD IN THE HOSPITAL
At the age of 6 she was hospitalized at the Luis Razetti Oncology Center. “I clearly had not understood the reasons for my hospitalization at the time, but over time my parents explained to me where I had been and why. I remember that during my stay in the hospital a 14-year-old girl who suffered from brain cancer shared a room. For me she was a friend with whom I played every day, we laughed and we had fun. Today, what I experienced when I was 6 years old left me what has been the greatest lesson: always appreciate those around us, family, friends, loved ones who care regarding our well-being,” she said during her participation in Miss Venezuela.
“Surround myself with positive people who help make my difficulties easier to bear. Even though things don’t go the way you want, always be grateful for having health and the opportunity to try one more time. To my friend at that time, who taught me to smile and enjoy the little things in life, like playing rag dolls (…),” she concluded.

4. HE STARTED IN THE WORLD OF MODELING AS A TEENAGER
At the age of 13, Diana Silva started in the world of modeling, which – as she mentions – has helped her to have discipline in various aspects of her life.
5. EXPERIENCE IN BEAUTY CONTESTS
She has participated in several beauty pageants: in Miss Bolívar 2016, where she was a finalist; she in Miss Tourism Venezuela 2017, Miss City Tourism World 2017 and Miss Earth Venezuela 2018 in which she has won. She was also in Miss Earth 2018, finishing in the Top 8; Four years later, she was Miss Capital District 2022 with which she won Miss Venezuela 2022 and will represent her country in Miss Universe 2023.

6. HE IS A CABIN CREW
Diana Silva is a cabin crew member. She graduated from the Caracas Air aeronautical training center.

The beauty queen is also an archyde news student, with a major in Marketing.
8. HE IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST
Since 2018, Silva is a social activist who works to recover green areas, plant plants and collect waste in the botanical garden of Caracas.

Diana has revealed that she likes acting, something she discovered at university when she participated in some plays, so she plans to prepare to enter this industry.

The Venezuelan beauty queen announced that she plans to create a project called “Friends of Older Adults Initiative” in order to develop actions that respond to the problems and potential of old age. “The importance would be to build ‘a Venezuela for all ages.’ That is, the possibility of settling the “debt” that society owes to its elders, ceasing to see that deficit exclusively from the angle of what the elders should ‘receive’ (and do not receive),” she explained during her time at the contest
