Put on your shoes and bib and set off for the 47th edition of the Paris marathon! More than 54,000 runners are expected to cross the capital and complete the 42.195 km before donning their “finisher” medal. Just over four months before the Paris Olympic event on August 10, which will be held at night, they will pass through some of the most beautiful Parisian settings during a route similar to that of the 2023 edition.

A route which will start from the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Champs-Élysées, before tens of thousands of brave people pass through emblematic places such as the Opéra Garnier, the Place de la Bastille, the Bois de Vincennes and of Boulogne, Notre-Dame Cathedral or the Eiffel Tower. The runners will obviously finish by going up Avenue Foch, at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe.

The 2023 Paris marathon crowned the Ethiopian Abeje Ayana and the Kenyan Helah Kiprop. The start will be given from 7:55 a.m. this Sunday, with the disabled athletes. The Elites will follow at 8 a.m., before delayed starts depending on the pace of the runners (from 8:05 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.).

The 2024 Paris marathon will be broadcast live from 7:45 a.m. this Sunday April 7, on France 3 and Eurosport 1.
