Get ATK Mohun Bagan in Kochi in front of a packed crowd: Ivan Vukomanovich

Kerala Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanovic wants ATK Mohun Bagan to play in the inaugural match of the ISL next season in Kochi.

Vukomanovic said that the most intense fight of the current season was against ATK Mohun Bagan.

Vukomanovic made the remarks in an interview with the Kerala Blasters’ official YouTube channel.

The Blasters started the season with a poor start to the season but have since been able to make a comeback as a result of everyone’s unity. Vukomanovic said the most disappointing part of the season was the refereeing in the last match.

Mohun Bagan escaped defeat to the Blasters with a goal in injury time in the last match. After the match, it was the match that got the most attention due to the controversial remarks of Sandesh Jim Khan.

Jim Khan said after the match that it felt like he was playing with girls. Many people came out in protest at Jim Khan’s remark. The video of the incident was circulated on social media. Following this, Jim Khan’s Instagram account disappeared.

Jim Khan came to the scene with an explanation in the wake of the controversy. Jim Khan wrote on his Twitter handle that his statement was not insulting to blasters or women and that it was said at the time.

Blasters fans also took to the stage to express their disapproval of Jim Khan’s remarks. The Blasters fans protested by burning a Tifo made for the player while playing for KBFC.

The Kerala Blasters are fourth in the league with 27 points from 16 matches. The Blasters’ next match is against Hyderabad FC on Wednesday.
