News 12 published today (Wednesday) the communications recordings of Sergeant Roni Eshel from October 7, when she was on duty in the observation corps at the Nahal Oz outpost. In the recordings, Eshel is heard reporting that she recognizes Hamas terrorists approaching the fence, beginning with its breach by a squad of four terrorists, and until their penetration into the territory of Israel.

At the beginning of the recordings, Eshel is heard reporting the arrival of four terrorists to the fence. She later reports on the explosion of the fence with an explosive device, and on a hole opened in it due to the explosion. It then reports on their entry into Israeli territory and subsequently announces a “full Turkish alert” (warning of terrorist infiltration).
Eshel, 19 years old from Tzur Yitzhak, has been declared missing since the Hamas attack on October 7. The last sign of life she passed on to her family was a message she wrote to her mother at 9:30 on the morning of Simchat Torah. About a month later, in November, the IDF announced her death.
