Gers: handover to the Banque de France

Estelle Poirot, the director of the Banque de France du Gers, officially presented the one who will replace her from December, during a small reception in the premises of rue Victor-Hugo, this Wednesday evening.

The entire economic and institutional Gers was present to welcome Aude Ayroles, who arrives directly from Toulouse where she held the position of head of the Individuals department.

Future challenges

This 33-year-old young woman studied economics in Paris Nanterre, but her name betrays more southern origins. The daughter of a Lotois and a Briton, she joined the Banque de France in 2014 before climbing the hierarchical levels that brought her to Auch.

For months, Aude Ayroles and Estelle Poirot have been in close contact to prepare for this arrival. “The biggest challenges ahead, for now, are the local consequences of the economic situation, says Aude Ayroles. Energy prices, in particular, on which we should have more visibility at the end of the year. The future of the poultry sector will also be closely monitored.

The new director has already visited the department, and admits to being seduced by the Gers, as much as by its inhabitants, “pleasant and friendly”. Already the mother of one child, and soon a second, she intends to live with her family in Auch.

She will be assisted by Isabelle Tecoueres, who will take over, with the support of regional services, until her return from maternity in March.
