Two magic feet for Germany? Jamal Musiala wouldn’t mind playing together with Florian Wirtz more often in the national soccer team. “Me and Flo have a really good relationship, we are good friends,” said the Bayern Munich professional regarding the Leverkusen player before the duel with the USA on Saturday (from 9 p.m. on LIVETICKER) in Hartford/Connecticut.
“We always have fun together on the pitch, we combine well and look for each other. We both just have fun playing football together,” said Musiala with shining eyes.
And national coach Julian Nagelsmann is also apparently thinking regarding letting the two 20-year-olds go together. “I read a few months ago that the two of them can’t play together, but I think it’s a very good idea,” said the new boss. Musiala and Wirtz have the “extreme talent to get the ball into the half-spaces in front of the chain, to dribble towards the goal at speed and to use other players,” he enthused.
Musiala was already trained by Nagelsmann in Munich. “The hopes that Germany has in him should not crush him, but rather make him proud,” he said, “he should not go crazy, but remain the street footballer that he is.
