Russian giant Gazprom has cut gas supplies to Denmark and to Shell Energy Europe, which supplies gas to Germany, over refusal to pay for fuel in rubles.

Given this measure, fear arises in Germany regarding the possibility of a large blackout since much of the electricity in this country is made from gas.

For this reason, the German Government has launched, through its Civil Protection service, a list of tips to have provisions for a period of at least ten days:

– Stockpile food and water for a period of ten days, an estimated time following which the authorities can prepare aid and new measures.

–It is necessary to calculate 2 liters of water and 2,200 kilocalories per person per day.

– The German Government recommends storing small quantities of all types of products with expiration dates as far away as possible

– To avoid shortages, the German Ministry of the Interior advises not to make this purchase all at once, but to add one or two extra units to the usual purchase

– Replenish stored products periodically. Therefore, they recommend consuming the ones closest to their expiration date first.

– Follow the storage recommendations of each manufacturer so that the food does not spoil.

– The German Ministry of the Interior emphasizes not forgetting the needs of pets.
