Germany Increases Budget for Global Climate Protection: Chancellor Calls for Tripled Renewable Energy Production by 2030

Berlin – From 2025, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced that the amount allocated in the German budget for global climate protection will increase by six billion euros per year. The government has fully spent the amount allocated in the earlier budget in 2022 itself. Despite austerity measures, climate protection has been properly funded.

A new fund has been set up in Dubai to address the damage in countries most affected by climate change. Germany will contribute 100 million dollars to this fund. What is new is that the United Arab Emirates (which also provides 100 million in startup capital) is the first time one of the oil-rich countries is participating in such assistance.

“We all need to show a strong determination to get out of fossil fuels,” Scholz said as the energy crisis turned on coal-fired power plants. 197 countries participating in the climate conference were invited. In his speech, the chancellor called for a binding agreement by the climate conference to triple energy production from solar, wind and hydro by 2030.

English Summary:

Energy production from solar, wind and water should be tripled
