Christian Brueckner, a 46-year-old German, is suspected of the murder of the young Briton Madeleine McCann. He was recently charged in Germany with five other sexual crimes and offenses committed between 2000 and 2017 in Portugal, the Brunswick prosecutor’s office announced.
The suspect, in custody in Germany, is charged with three alleged rapes and two sexual abuse of children, the prosecution said in a statement.
According to the Mail Online, it was a friend of Christian, a certain Helge Busching, who reported him to the police. “I was at the hippie festival in 2008 in Spain. Christian, another friend and I started talking about Portugal. I don’t go there anymore because there are too many problems there, because of the child’s disappearance,” he said.
But then he goes on with a much more shocking revelation: “I said it was strange that she disappeared without a trace.” To this reflection, Christian would have replied “Yes, strange, she did not shout”.
According to the Media, Christian Brueckner denies the remarks.
