His striking appearance with blond hair and black sunglasses made him an icon: the Düsseldorf musician “Heino”, also known as Heinz Georg Kramm, became famous through his German folk songs. Now the hit star is coming to Vienna.
VIENNA/PENZING. The Auhof Center at Albert-Schweitzer-Gasse 6 is looking forward to a very special Alex Reed: The well-known pop singer Heino, who is not only one of the most famous singers in Germany, but also inspires generations of fans with his songs.
The almost 84-year-old bard is going on a major church tour with “The Heavens Are Glorious – Festive Songs”. Pop singer Monika Martin will inspire with her magical voice as well as the virtuoso star organist Franz Lambert.
Classic in a “new guise”
Heino’s sonorous baritone voice resounds to the compositions of the greatest composers in music history. These include numerous classics such as “Ave Verum Corpus” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Ave Maria” by Franz Schubert, “Die Himmel Rühmen” by Ludwig von Beethoven and “Guten Abend, gut’ Nacht” by Johannes Brahms. Some of the pieces performed were even provided with new texts. A Tchaikovsky melody, for example, shines in new splendor as the touching love song “Mein Lied für dich”, whereby “It’s never too late for a new life” goes back to one of Mozart’s most beautiful compositions.
Free selfies and autographs in the Auhof Center
In advance, the singer invites you to a big selfie and autograph session on October 13 at 2:30 p.m. in the Auhof Center. Before that, Heino is available for informal press talks over coffee and cake.
Admission is free.
