German Ice Hockey League: Munich Jackson denies 1000th DEL game as a coach

What a number! Don Jackson is playing his 1000th game as a coach in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) with EHC Red Bull Munich today (3:15 p.m.).

“It was always fun for me. The challenges bring energy and emotions with them – but all I can do is be grateful for the opportunity to coach here,” Jackson said before the milestone in Munich’s own stadium once morest the Adler Manheim.

The 66-year-old American didn’t want to get melancholic beforehand. “I’m very proud to have been here for so long. But I’m not looking too far ahead.
