The German Economics Minister Robert Habeck paid a visit to Austria on Tuesday. In the morning he met Climate Minister Leonore Gewessler. The two agreed to work more closely together in the event of a gas shortage.
Habeck and Gewessler then visited the Simmering power plant and inspected one of the most powerful large-scale heat pumps in Central Europe. In the afternoon, meetings with Economics Minister Martin Kocher, Europe Minister Karoline Edtstadler and Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen were also on the agenda for Habeck.
