The BBC reported that one of the abductees was a woman in her 20s whose mother was German. She was attending a music festival near the border with Gaza when she was apparently attacked by Hamas. German tabloid Bild also reported that another German woman was feared to have been abducted along with her three-year-old and five-year-old daughters.
In an interview on MSNBC television on the 9th, US State Department Spokesman Miller revealed that nine Americans were killed in the attack by Hamas.
Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 9th that 12 Thai nationals were killed at the scene. Eleven other people, believed to be workers, were also abducted.
