UEFA’s former common secretary has expired.
Gerard Aigner is lifeless. He lived to be 80 years outdated.
And earlier than tonight’s EC matches, he can be celebrated.

Gerhard Aigner served as Uefa’s common secretary between 1989 and 2003. For a number of years he labored carefully with Lennart Johansson, who was the Swedish Uefa president on the time.
On Thursday, Uefa introduced that Aigner has handed away, aged 80.
Forward of Thursday’s night matches within the EC, the deceased German can be paid tribute.
“There can be an applause”, writes Uefa on X.
Aigner was, along with Lennart Johansson, driving the creation of the Champions League. When Aigner left his place as secretary common in 2003, the Swede Lars-Christer Olsson took over his put up.
