Actress Vahina Giocante shared on her social networks a memory of a scene that she says she experienced during a shoot with Gérard Depardieu. In a post on Facebook, she reports having seen the actor, already facing three complaints for sexual assault and rape, making inappropriate gestures towards an extra during a photo shoot. She claims that the actor had put “his hand down the pants” of this extra.
She describes the scene by mentioning that this woman’s face was red with shame, trying to protect her privacy in the face of the actor’s intrusive gestures, but feeling unable to defend herself for fear of disrupting the flow of the scene.
Vahina Giocante also denounces the actor’s behavior towards vulnerable people. She thus compares him to a stronger child in a playground, seeking to test the limits by harassing those who are more fragile. Vahina Giocante claims to have escaped the wandering hands of the sacred monster of French cinema thanks to the intervention of her ex-father-in-law, a friend of Gérard Depardieu.
The 75-year-old actor fell from his pedestal following the broadcast of videos where he is seen making misogynistic and sexual remarks. This controversy aroused divergent reactions, going up to the highest echelons of the State since President Emmanuel Macron defended the actor who “makes France proud”.
