In the midst of an environment where global challenges are multiplying, with the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East multiplying the chances of further diffusion of crises, Greece is a pillar of stability in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region, notes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis in an article in “Vima tis Kyriaki” newspaper.
Greek diplomacy raised, in this context, at the NATO Summit, the issue of the emphasis of all member states of the Western alliance on International Law and international agreements in general, which form the basis of the global security architecture.
Mr. Gerapetritis makes a special reference to the due faithful observance of the Prespa Agreement, the core of which “is systematically violated by the new political and state leadership of North Macedonia”, the foreign minister characteristically mentions.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Christian Mickoski, in an interview with “Al Jazeera Balkan”, claimed once once more that he abides by the Prespa Agreement and that Greece is the one that stands in the way and does not implement the agreement.
