With a picture of her daughter on her personal account on “Instagram”, Georgina Rodriguez, friend of Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United player, announced the name of their daughter.
The famous couple named their baby girl “Bella Esmeralda”, who was born on April 18.
Georgina wrote on the photo of her newborn daughter: “Bella Esmeralda 180,422,” referring to her newborn’s name and date of birth.
Interestingly, their baby girl’s name translates to “beautiful” given the Portuguese roots of Ronaldo and Georgina.
Given the couple’s ties to Italy and Spain, it’s no surprise that they chose the nickname Bella Esmeralda for their daughter.
In Spanish, Esmeralda means beautiful emerald, and the word Bella is associated with the term “beautiful” in languages such as Spanish, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, and Greek, and the word Esmeralda means emerald in Spanish.
It is worth noting that Ronaldo and Georgina recently suffered a great tragedy as they were expecting twins, however, their child could not survive, as the Portuguese star announced on April 18, the death of his infant son and the twin of his daughter during the birth process.
And he wrote in a post he posted on his accounts on social media: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our infant son. It is the harshest feeling that parents can feel.”
