International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on Monday underlined the critical role data plays in today’s world, noting that data must be highly accurate.
“I look forward to participating tomorrow in discussing the critical role of reliable and real-time data in addressing global challenges with experts and policymakers at the Global Conference of the G20 Initiative on Data Gaps,” Georgieva said in a tweet.
“Policy makers need accurate and comprehensive data to address complex challenges,” the International Monetary Fund said in a tweet.
“The Global Conference of the G20 Initiative on Data Gaps brings together policy makers and data producers to discuss how we can close these gaps,” the IMF added.
In another context, Georgieva expressed her admiration for Arab culture, saying, “I am pleased to be part of the Arab Culture Day. It is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the charming traditions of that culture.”
“Engaging in the rich, diverse Arab culture is a great honor. Let us embrace our common values and work together for a more inclusive future for all,” she added.
The US capital, Washington, hosts the third conference of the G20 Data Gaps Initiative from June 13-15.
