On the initiative of the Reverend Georges Bruno Ngoussi, 4th Vice-president of the transitional senate, nationals of the Lombo-Bouenguidi department in Libreville, Ogooué-Lolo province (south-east), discussed, Saturday at the Libreville Chamber of Commerce, around the draft the future constitution will be submitted to a referendum in the coming weeks, according to the timetable set out by the highest authorities of the transition.
On the occasion of this meeting which also addressed other themes relating to the socio-political questions of the day, as well as the crucial issues for the development of the department of Lombo-Bouenguidi and the province of Ogooué-Lolo , Georges Bruno Ngoussi, has made no secret of his decision in favor of a positive vote during the next referendum consultation.
“You have someone in front of you who is better placed to tell other people to go in the right direction which is the ”YES” in the referendum because since our country existed we have never known a constitution like the one proposed by the CTRI to the Gabonese people”urged the 4th Vice-president of the transitional senate.
Reverend Ngoussi made it known during this first meeting with his compatriots from Lombo-Bouenguidi since his entry into the Senate that he “It is important for me, in this period close to the referendum, to exchange with them to express the reasons for support for the “YES” to the constitution proposed by the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI)”he argued.
He also stressed that the importance of this referendum is justified all the more as it would resolve, through the adoption of the future constitution, several other problems, in particular that of the delimitation of the geographical limits of the cantons of Lombo-Bouenguidi department, we learned.
During this meeting, the participants exposed a number of concerns specific to Lombo-Bouenguidi, the resolution of which would involve supporting the actions and programs initiated by the CTRI and especially through the favorable vote for the future constitution, according to Georges Bruno Ngoussi.
