On Thursday morning, the former Prime Minister and member of parliament of Achaia of the PA.SOK. – Movement for Change Mr. George A. Papandreou.
Mr. Papandreou met with the deputy mayors of Civil Protection of Aegialia, Mr. Dimitris Filippatos and of Kalavryton, Mr. Zisimos Zisimopoulos, the vice president of DEWA Aegialia, Mr. Giorgos Dino, the deputy mayor of Technical Works and D.E. Diakoptos Mr. Vassilis Christopoulos, the president of the Diakoptos Community Mr. Spilios Roufogalis, the former deputy mayor Mr. Sotiris Papageorgiou, the president of the Dental Friends Association Mr. Yiannis Karapanagiotis and officials of the Municipalities of Aegialia and Kalavryta, in order to record the details of the case and to formulate new interventions for the Government, with the aim of restoring the traffic of the historic Cogwheel Railway as soon as possible, alongside the planning and implementation by the competent services, of the necessary anti-flooding and support works in order to prevent any new dangerous phenomena and train passengers to move in complete safety.
The PR. The Prime Minister pledged to closely monitor the issue, in constant communication with the municipal authority and the competent bodies, so that this serious problem can be resolved immediately.
