George Harrison’s widow, Olivia, wrote a collection of poetry for her late husband. This book, entitled “The Lightening”, contains 20 poems that Olivia wrote for the Beatles musician following his death in 2001.
It will be released on June 21 via the publishing house Gensis Publications and is already available for pre-order.
In a statement on the subject, Olivia said: “20 years later, my bottle thrown into the sea has finally reached dry land. Words regarding our life, his death, but also regarding love and our journey to the end.”
According to a release from Genesis Publications, these poems will explore “the intimacy and emotional connection of the Harrisons’ relationship,” as well as “the phenomenon of losing a partner and the passage of time.”
This collection will also contain never-before-seen photos of the couple.
