Genshin Impact Update 1.2 and the Dosdragon Mountains land was released just over a year ago. To celebrate this first anniversary, the miHoYo studio is organizing a sound and light show in the heart of the Alps, broadcast online.
In December 2020, the miHoYo studio deployed update 1.2 of Genshin Impact and opened the doors to a new land, the Dosdragon Mountains. To design this mountainous region, the Chinese developer says he was inspired by the Alps. To mark the update’s first anniversary, miHoYo recently released a series of animations” title=”
In-game
English expression literally meaning “In play” and designating a use practiced in the game, as opposed to activities carried out in an ancillary way outside the game (on a discussion forum for example). We will speak for example of an “in-game meeting” or of an “in-game sale” (previously planned or organized outside the game).
“>in-game (“Lights and Eternal Snow”, having mobilized three million participants) and which will end with a closing ceremony aiming to illuminate the resort of Val Thorens, in the heart of the Alps – the studio announced recently via a trailer.
By way of a press release, the developer specifies how the event will unfold: on January 13, a “sound and light” show will be organized in the French ski resort, accompanied by the Orchester Symphonique Confluences de Lyon, which will perform excerpts from the original Genshin Imapct soundtrack.
For players who do not make the trip to Val Thorens, the evening will be broadcast online on Twitch January 13 from 10 p.m. UTC (11 p.m. KST), then on YouTube and VK at 11 p.m. UTC – a replay will then be available on YouTube.
The scale of the event is rather unusual for the mere anniversary of an update, but arguably indicative of miHoYo’s strike force and player enthusiasm for Genshin Impact. As a reminder, Genshin Impact is distributed free-to-play and deployed its 2.4 update a few days ago.
