Genotyping

In addition to being an exceptional year for science, 2023 has been a particularly relevant year for Genotipia, with great news and a very special award.

From training, to communication and dissemination, Genotipia has maintained its objective of bringing genetics and its advances in the field of health closer to professionals in the clinical, health and biotechnology areas, as well as researchers, graduates in biomedical sciences and people. interested in this exciting subject.

Young Science Talent Award for Loreto Crespo, CEO of Genotipia

Definitely, one of the most special moments for Genotipia took place when the jury of the tenth edition of the Valencian Community Young Talent Awards recognized the work of Loreto Crespo, CEO of Genotipia, in the scientific field, granting him the award in the Science category.

After receiving the award, Crespo highlighted that it is as important to do science as it is to teach those who do science and to help science reach healthcare personnel so they can use it in their daily lives, principles that characterize Genotipia’s philosophy.

As part of our commitment to providing training that can lead to better care for patients, this year, we set ourselves a challenge: to create a master’s degree in precision medicine that would take into account the current situation of clinical genetics and provide tools for health and clinical professionals.

With the collaboration of María Isidoro, Head of the Clinical Analysis and Clinical Biochemistry Service of the Salamanca University Care Complex as well as Coordinator of the Strategic Plan for Personalized Precision Medicine of Castilla y León and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, we materialized the first “Master of Personalized Precision Medicine”, as well as five clinical genetics experts in different specialties: rare diseases, oncology, pediatrics, cardiology and neurology.

In parallel, and with the aim of always offering current content, this year we renewed the “Expert in Medical Genetics and Genomics” program and updated the refresher course “Genomic Medicine in Oncology and its Clinical Applications”.

We also launched several new courses: “Virology Applied to Research in Biomedicine”, “Molecular Microbiology in Clinical Practice: present and future in the hospital laboratory”, “Panels, Exomes and Genomes in Clinical Practice”, and “Human Microbiome and Health”.

Added to these training courses in Genotype is the second edition of “Precision Oncology”, a program organized jointly with the strategic consultancy PxMédica, which offers a 360º vision of precision medicine in solid tumors and aims to transfer knowledge as up-to-date as possible to the clinical practice of oncology professionals.

The news and dissemination of genetics as a seal of Genotipia

Firm defenders of the importance of updating and continuing to broaden horizons, in 2023 we have maintained our informative work on news and discoveries in the field of genetics, a summary of which we have recently published.

In addition, this year we published number 7 of our scientific magazine Medical Genetics and Genomics and we continue to discuss topics of interest to all audiences in our Blog.

New opportunities in 2024

Seen in perspective, 2023 has been a very positive year for Genotipia. Full of enthusiasm, we now look towards the challenges that await us in 2024, to continue sharing knowledge and advances in Genetics and Genomics.

We hope that, once once more, you will join us on this path.
