Genk won on the Charleroi pitch at the opening of the 27th day of the Pro League in a match that will not go down in history. In a meeting with few chances where there was a lot of waste, the Limburgers had to wait until the 71st minute to score Sor’s only goal of the match.
Charleroi receives Genk in a meeting which promises to be very important in the fight for maintenance. But once morest the Zebras, it is the Limburgers who are fighting for the top 6 who present themselves.

Charleroi tries to react directly but the strike from Marcq is pushed back by Vandevoordt (72nd).
Genk then returns to the charge but Sor’s shot from the entrance to the rectangle misses Koffi’s near post (77th).
In the 86th minute, Tolu is on the receiving end of a cross from the right and controls his chest well before attempting a backhand shot which goes wide.
Charleroi throws its last strength into the battle. Badji is on the receiving end of a cross and gets the better of his defender but his recovery is too soft to worry Vandevoordt.
Koffi then had to relax one last time in the 94th minute with a shot from Bonsu Baah that landed well on his left foot and tried to find the opposite corner.
But the score will no longer change. Genk won 0-1 on Charleroi and returned to fifth place with 43 points following a match that lacked quality. The Zebras remain stuck in 13th place with 25 units and are therefore still in the red zone.
