On Instagram, Tuesday evening, the sports host announced that her grandmother, Laurette, had died.
She shared a gorgeous photo carousel featuring her grandma, while briefly opening up about her final moments with her.

“My little elf grandma went to heaven today at 98. I went to see her yesterday with Vivi and Charles. Laurette looked at me, and she gave me a nice smile. She also smiled at Violette, whom she was seeing up close for the first and last time. I took her hand and told her she was beautiful and that I loved her. I felt her happy and well despite everything. My grandma is the funniest and most inspiring I know. The one who took English lessons at 96 and rode a stationary bike while watching Charles skate. She always told me in my moments of doubt:> And she was right. I love you grandma,” she wrote alongside the photos.
