The father told Emirates Today that Thaer is a person of determination and has had difficulty speaking since birth.
He added: «I discovered that he had a delay in speech when he was five years old, as the teachers were facing great difficulty in dealing with him, so I admitted him to several hospitals, hoping to put an end to his problem. After examining him in a hospital, it turned out that he had a lump in the nose, so we performed surgery on him, but the problem did not end here as we expected, but its symptoms continued.
The father added: «I transferred him to another hospital, and after an audiogram and a vision examination, they confirmed to me that he had a genetic problem in hearing. In the recent period, I transferred him to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, and after examination and medical diagnosis, it became clear that he suffers from difficulty in speaking, and a severe delay in it, and he needs pronunciation, communication and communication sessions, the cost of which is 8954 dirhams.
The father indicated that the cost of treatment far exceeds his financial capabilities, explaining that he is the sole breadwinner for his family, which consists of 10 members, and he works in a private entity with a salary of 4,800 dirhams, of which he pays 2,300 dirhams per month for the rent of the house.
