Rib lovers were impatiently awaiting the return of the Trois-Rivières Ribfest! This took place from August 18 to 20 at the Trois-Rivières port park after an absence of 3 years.

Visitors were able to take advantage of the talents of 3 artisans from the côte-levée in addition to benefiting from a superb atmosphere thanks to the good care of the Marianna distillery and the Broadway Pub.

Festival-goers could also taste the delicacies of Soif en masse, Mr Méchoui and the Cabane à chichis. Musicians were on hand to bring some sunshine to the rainy days of the weekend: Stéphane Daoust, Denis Bouchard, Little Great Blues Band, Guy Brière and Alexandra Willet.

In order to access the site, the population was invited to make a voluntary contribution. The funds raised during the three days of Ribfest are for the benefit of people with multiple sclerosis in Mauricie. The organization raised $7,713, which will enable it to pursue its mission and meet the needs of people affected by this disease on the territory.

Remember that multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is an unpredictable disease that can manifest itself through the following symptoms: extreme fatigue, incoordination, weakness, tingling, disturbances in sensitivity, vision, bladder or cognitive function and mood changes. It also has physical, emotional and financial repercussions. There is currently no cure for MS, but researchers are learning more every day about the causes of MS and are closer than ever to finding ways to counter this disease.
