A few days ago, citizens received messages from some generator owners stating that there may be a tendency to link the monthly bill at a later date with a “new dollar”, which may be called the “motor dollar”.
According to what has been shown, some generator owners will put on the invoice the price of dollars, on the basis of which the citizen will pay the bill in Lebanese pounds, noting that the value of consumption has been placed in dollars for many months.
It is possible that the price of the “motor dollar” differs from the price of the dollar in the parallel market, and one of the generator owners suggested that its value be higher than the current price by 500 Lebanese pounds as a minimum. For example, if the price of the dollar is currently 93 thousand pounds, then the “motor dollar” will be 93,500 Lebanese pounds, and so on.
