Over the past decade, automakers have struggled to incorporate more and more technology into their vehicles to keep pace with the changing consumer market, and GM believes it has found a way to exceed its rivals, at least for now.

Indeed, the automaker said it is looking for ways to integrate Chat GPT into its vehicles in the months or years to come.

Chat GPT is an artificial intelligence powered chatbot that was created by OpenAI in November 2022.

It has since gained over 100 million users, making it the fastest growing consumer app of all time.

This technology has a variety of uses, but General Motors is particularly interested in its ability to answer questions and solve problems.

According to the automaker, drivers and passengers will be able to ask the system questions when they don’t understand one of the vehicle’s functions, instead of looking for the answer in the owner’s manual.

In this case, the Chat GPT system will be able to provide instructions or even broadcast a Youtube video containing the answer, for example when a driver asks how to change a flat tire.

In addition, this technology could allow drivers to change vehicle settings by voice and make it easier to set up a garage door opener remotely, for example.

GM also says GPT Chat could make it easier to sync schedules with the driver’s digital calendar using Microsoft’s cloud services.

The company believes that this is not just an evolution of the voice control system already used in its vehicles, but rather a way to make the vehicles much more technologically capable than before.

Since the Chat GPT system was not originally developed for use in a car, certain aspects of its use may not be suitable for this type of application.

That’s why General Motors will be developing a car-specific layer that will be added to the consumer system, changing some responses and making them more useful for drivers.

No date has been communicated as to the appearance of this technology in the company’s vehicles.
