The second friendly matches of this summer between Gdańsk teams from lower leagues ended in defeats. Third-league Gedania 1922 lost to Cartusia 1:2, and fourth-league Jaguar lost to Czarni Pruszcz Gdański by the same margin. Former Arka Gdynia player Paweł Wojowski also joined the club. Both teams are adding new players to their squads for the 2024/25 season. Bałtyk Gdynia, on the other hand, is still fighting for survival. In a fundraiser launched over five days, fans have collected 16.5 thousand zlotys, and the goal is to raise nearly three times more.
Gedania focuses on youth
As Gedania’s sports director Bartosz Dolański announced, players are no longer leaving the club, and Gedania itself is focusing on incoming transfers to close the squad as quickly as possible. Recently, the team has been reinforced with juniors from the team’s reserves. The seniors have been joined by: Jakub Klepaczewski, Szymon Wawrowski and Piotr Witczak. In the meantime, Marek Niewiadomski has extended his contract with the club.
