Doha: An agreement has been reached for the construction of a road linking the GCC and Europe. The project will connect the Iraqi port of Al Faw to Europe. The first phase will be completed by 2028, the second phase by 2033 and the third phase by 2050. Qatar Minister of Transport Jassim Bin Saif Al Sulaiti, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Bin Mohammed Al Masrouei and Transport Ministers of Turkey and Iraq signed the agreement.
