Under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami, thousands of people participated in the Gaza March to express solidarity with Palestine on Embassy Road in Islamabad.
A large number of young people, elderly, children and women came out on the streets against the Israeli atrocities in Gaza. In the historic march to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh also made a telephonic speech.
Addressing the participants of the march, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Sirajul Haq said that the Gaza march is a message for America not to support Israeli brutality. Massacre of innocents in Palestine should be stopped, relief materials should be delivered to the war-torn area, international community should call for an immediate ceasefire. The United Nations has recognized that Israel is occupying Palestinian lands, the Zionist state did not even care about the cease-fire resolution of the General Assembly.
Sirajul Haq said that the rulers of the Islamic world are looking towards Washington instead of expressing the sentiments of the Ummah. Fearing America, the organizers of the Gaza March were tortured, they were arrested, let it be clear to the rulers that the expression of solidarity with the Palestinians will not stop, Jamaat-e-Islami will organize the Palestine Million March in Lahore.
He said that Islamic countries should decide on Palestine, if they remain afraid, the Ummah will not forgive you, you will be held accountable in history, today if practical measures are not taken, Mir Jafar will be considered as Mir Sadiq.
Sirajul Haque said that the sea of people is a message for America. America stands with Israel, so we stand with the oppressed of Gaza. When we announced the Gaza march in front of the US embassy, the rulers got scared and tortured our workers to stop it.
I want to ask the rulers, who do you want to please? While workers were being caned in Islamabad, Tayyip Erdogan was addressing millions of people in Turkey.
He said that it is impossible that because of your sticks we will retreat, there will be a million march in Lahore on November 19, the people of Palestine will continue the movement.
Amir Jamaat said that our rulers did not play the role which was their religious duty. I wish the heads of the Islamic forces would call a meeting in Cairo. He said that every class of thought in the world, even the actors, are expressing solidarity with Gaza, but our rulers are silent, the bombing of Gaza continues, the Muslim rulers have started looking towards America.
