Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath correspondent reported, on Wednesday, the renewal of Israeli raids and shelling on several areas in the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli army announced that it is currently targeting rocket launchers in the Strip, and the Israeli “Channel 13” announced that the army had launched a large-scale attack on the Gaza Strip.

Our correspondent also reported that the Palestinian resistance factions responded to the Israeli raids by firing dozens of rockets from the Strip, as Israel activated the Iron Dome, and intercepted rockets fired at Ashkelon, while warning sirens sounded in the outskirts of Tel Aviv and central Israel.

The Israeli radio said that rockets from Gaza targeted Tel Aviv and disrupted navigation at Ben Gurion Airport, while the Israeli army radio announced that Hamas did not enter the battle, and the Islamic Jihad movement was responsible for firing the rockets.

On the other hand, medical sources reported that a second Palestinian was killed as a result of the Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip today.

This comes as the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, issued a fiery statement in which he said: “The time has come for assassinations,” while the Israeli Air Force announced the bombing of 6 missile launchers in separate areas of Gaza. Our correspondent reported that Israeli planes targeted Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, and a site belonging to the Al-Qassam Brigades in Ashkelon, and there is an intense flight of Israeli reconnaissance planes in the skies of Gaza.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army announced Continued military preparedness, especially in the Gaza peripheryDespite the fact that no rockets were fired so far, following the raids launched by its planes yesterday on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of fifteen Palestinians and the fall of injuries, Egypt is seeking, through urgent diplomatic moves, to calm down and establish a truce between the two parties.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today, Wednesday, that Minister Sameh Shoukry will discuss, in a meeting with his counterparts from Jordan, Germany and France in Berlin, ways to advance and intensify calm efforts and reduce tension between the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement that Shukri’s visit to the German capital today comes to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Munich formula on the peace process.

Abu Zeid added that what he described as the explosive situation in the Palestinian territories, “as a result of the repeated incursions of Israeli forces into Palestinian cities and the targeting of civilians outside the framework of the law, represents a dangerous escalation that threatens to get the situation out of control.”

He stressed that this matter “requires the intensification of all international efforts to stop the repeated Israeli attacks on the Palestinians, and coordinated action between regional and international actors to achieve this goal.”

For its part, the Israeli army confirmed, according to what was reported by “The Times of Israel” on Wednesday, that while there were no rocket fires last night, the restrictions will remain in effect for residents closest to the Gaza Strip, as “anything can happen.”

“We did not witness rockets being fired at Israel, and this is a result of the sudden operation of the Israeli army once morest Islamic Jihad,” said Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari, speaking to Army Radio, but added that “anything else might happen today. We will assess the situation as to whether Instructions for residents would have been eased.”

The home front had restricted the movement and assembly of people living within 40 kilometers of Gaza, with officials estimating that rocket fire or any other type of attack was “only a matter of time”.

On Monday night, Israeli planes launched 10 raids on the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation Defensive Arrow, killing 15 people, including 3 Islamic Jihad leaders, whom Israel claimed were responsible for planning and executing the rocket launches.

Yesterday, the Israeli army launched raids on the Gaza Strip, killing 15 people, including 3 Islamic Jihad leaders, prompting the Palestinian factions to vow a response.
