Jerusalem: Gaza is in dire straits as airstrikes continue and electricity and fuel supplies are completely cut off. Palestinians in Gaza woke up in the dark on Thursday. Early in the morning, there were long queues of people to buy bread in some bakeries and grocery stores. But the open shops were soon closed as they might not function without electricity. Those who waited with hungry bellies returned. Israel’s Energy Minister Israel Katz has given Hamas an ultimatum that it will not supply Gaza with a drop of water or electricity unless they release more than 150 hostages held by Hamas.

Israeli military spokesman Lieut. Colonel Richard Hest said. 3.85 lakh reservists are stationed for this purpose.

US declares unwavering support for Israel Foreign Secretary Anthony Blinken arrived in Tel Aviv. Blinken met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Netanyahu formed a new unity cabinet to coordinate the war, announcing the elimination of Hamas.

Human rights organizations say that Gaza will lead to death

Human rights organizations have warned that Gaza will die if Israel does not lift the blockade. It called for the opening of a humanitarian corridor to Gaza and a temporary ceasefire.

Negotiations led by Qatar to restore peace and cease-fire in the West are in progress. Saudi Arabia has also stepped up its efforts to pressure Israel to lift its blockade of Gaza.

Meanwhile, Britain withdrew the families of its diplomats from Israel. The UN estimates that 3.38 lakh people have fled from Gaza so far.
