Gaza – Nine Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in Israeli raids, two of which targeted homes in the central and southern Gaza Strip, on Saturday, while clashes continue between Palestinian armed factions and Israeli army forces in various areas of their incursion.
In the latest raids, an Israeli drone targeted a group of citizens east of the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, killing two citizens and wounding another with injuries described as “serious.”
A medical source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza told Anadolu Agency, “Two martyrs and a serious injury arrived at the hospital as a result of a missile attack from a reconnaissance plane on a group of citizens in the Zeitoun neighborhood.”
Medical sources previously reported to Anadolu Agency that 5 Palestinians, including women and a child, were killed and three others were missing in an Israeli bombing of a house belonging to the Abu Hasna family in the Miraj area north of Rafah (south).
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that “an Israeli warplane bombed the Abu Hasna family’s house in the Miraj area, destroying the house over the heads of its residents and killing those inside, while a number of missing people are still under the rubble.”
Witnesses added that “the army fired flares into the sky of the Mirage area last night and this morning, and a number of them fell on citizens’ homes, causing fires to break out.”
In the Central Governorate, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced in a statement via the Telegram platform, “The martyrdom of a mother and her child and the injury of a number of others, including serious cases, in an Israeli raid that targeted a house belonging to the Al-Dayeh family in the vicinity of Al-Safa Mosque in Al-Bureij camp (central).”
The eastern areas of Al-Bureij camp and the city of Deir al-Balah (central) witnessed artillery shelling and gunfire from a quadcopter drone, especially in the area north of Al-Bureij.
The Bisan area, northeast of Beit Lahia city in the northern Gaza Strip, also witnessed intense artillery shelling, coinciding with the Israeli Navy firing shells towards the northern Gaza Strip beach.
In Gaza City, Israeli vehicles stationed in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood and the vicinity of the university college southwest of the city, fired machine guns at homes and citizens who tried to reach their homes, while artillery shelled an area south of the al-Sabra neighborhood south of the city.
The clashes continue
In this context, clashes continue between fighters of armed Palestinian factions and Israeli army forces on various axes of its incursion.
Late Friday evening, the factions said in a statement that they targeted the Sufa military site adjacent to the southern Gaza Strip with 10 114 mm Rajum rockets.
In turn, the factions announced, at dawn on Saturday, the detonation of a house that had been booby-trapped earlier, by an Israeli infantry force in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.
She said in a statement: “After returning from the battle lines, our fighters reported the detonation of a booby-trapped house that they had prepared in advance by a Zionist infantry force near the Dahdouh roundabout in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.”
In another statement, it added that its fighters bombed “with a number of Ababil projectiles and heavy mortar shells the enemy soldiers and vehicles stationed south of the neighborhood.”
She pointed out that its fighters engaged in “fierce clashes against an Israeli force in the Shaboura camp in the center of Rafah city,” adding, “They killed and wounded members of the force.”
The factions also showed footage of a drone, which they said they “controlled while carrying out intelligence missions in the skies over Rafah.”
With American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, leaving more than 130,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and deadly famine.
In contempt of the international community, Tel Aviv continues the war, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
