Gastroenterologist Bernatsky spoke about the main cause of post-COVID impotence

– I single out post-covid enteropathy separately – this is a violation of the function of the small intestine against the background of damage to the lymphatic system of the small intestine, – says Artur Bernatsky. – The functionality of the small intestine is impaired, in particular from the position of sensitivity to many proteins. Very often, patients develop increased food sensitivity. For example, a person ate a boiled egg yesterday, but today he cannot eat it.

A reaction develops that causes a syndrome of excessive bacterial growth, in which the activity of pathogenic microflora increases, and not in the large intestine, but in the small intestine, including the growth of fungi, the same candida. I had a patient who did not have a severe covid, without lung damage, but a week after the illness she developed intestinal obstruction, she was taken to the hospital. It’s been six months now, she can’t eat egg white, she’s hypersensitive to gluten.

According to the doctor, every third patient who has had a new coronavirus infection has a sensitivity to egg white. Especially in atopics and allergy sufferers.

After covid, as a rule, all patients suffer from a lack of strength, loss of vitality – it is difficult to get up and force yourself to do something, from emotional lability and difficulty concentrating. A person is very tired even after overcoming several flights of stairs or minor stress.

– The small intestine is a lymphatic organ, on which 60% of human immunity depends, 75% of serotonin and endorphins are produced in the small intestine, – says Artur Bernatsky. – As a result of a malfunction of the small intestine weakness, fatigue, a state of chronic intoxication occurs, when a person literally cannot get out of bed in the morning. With such chronic asthenia, previous sores can worsen, an autoimmune profile of the disease can develop – the same rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis.
