Today, the price of a can of 95 and 98 octane gasoline has risen by 13,000 pounds, so the price of a 95-octane canister has become 475,000 pounds, and 98 octane gasoline has become 485,000 pounds.
The representative of fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Shakra, had anticipated the issuance of the new price table, announcing that the increase in the exchange rate from 22,000 to 22,850 pounds would reflect an increase in fuel prices.
In an interview with the National News Agency, he was surprised by the continued rise in the dollar exchange rate, “although there is a positive political atmosphere, especially with the return of the Kuwaiti and Saudi ambassadors and the return of relations with the Gulf states.”
