- On Monday, November 4, vehicles and motorcycles with license plates ending in numbers 3 and 4 will be able to supply subsidized gasoline.
In The Diary We explain what the subsidized gasoline distribution schedule will be like from Monday, November 4 to November 10.
This system was implemented to regulate the fuel supply in the country and has been maintained since June 2020.
The schedule establishes that gasoline supply is carried out according to the last digit of the vehicle license plate. In this context, owners of cars and trucks have a limit of 120 liters of fuel per month, while motorized vehicles can supply up to 60 liters.
Gasoline distribution schedule:
–Monday, November 4: plates ending in 3 and 4
–Tuesday, November 5: plates ending in 5 and 6
–Wednesday, November 6: plates ending in 7 and 8
–Thursday, November 7: plates that end in 9 and 0
–Friday, November 8: plates ending in 1 and 2
–Saturday, November 9: plates ending in 3 and 4
–Sunday, November 10: plates ending in 5 and 6
Requirements to access subsidized gasoline
Users of the Patria System must have a balance in their wallet account to be able to access subsidized gasoline. This requirement is part of an update to the system that was implemented on October 1, 2022.
The minimum amount that each user must have available is 25.20 bolivars, which is equivalent to approximately 5% of the price of gasoline in dollars.
To load funds on the platform, a transfer can be made from a national bank account to the Patria System or through the bonuses assigned to the wallet.
Payment methods for subsidized gasoline
The Sistema Patria portal has established that the payment methods for subsidized gasoline are electronic, using the BiopagoPDV system.
According to the information provided, the cash payment option for subsidized gasoline has been eliminated with the aim of optimizing the fuel marketing system. In addition, the authorities consider that this measure speeds up service at service stations.
How to check the remaining amount of gasoline?
The subsidized gasoline allocation system allows users to check the amount of gasoline that users can fill before exhausting their monthly quota, which is 120 liters for cars and 60 liters for motorcycles.
To check the remaining balance in the gasoline wallet, users must send a message to the number 3777 with the word BALANCE or GASOLINE. Once the text message is sent, you will automatically receive a response with the corresponding information.

**Interview: Understanding Venezuela’s Gasoline Subsidy System**
**Host:** Welcome to our program. Today, we have with us María José, a local journalist who has been closely following the situation regarding gasoline distribution in Venezuela. Thank you for joining us, María.
**María:** Thank you for having me!
**Host:** Let’s dive right in. We’ve heard that as of November 4, a new schedule for subsidized gasoline distribution has been implemented. Can you explain how this schedule works?
**María:** Absolutely. The distribution is now regulated based on the last digit of vehicle license plates. For instance, on Monday, November 4, only vehicles with license plates ending in 3 and 4 can fill up with subsidized gasoline. The schedule continues throughout the week with different digits assigned to each day.
**Host:** Interesting! What are the limits for the fuel allocation under this system?
**María:** Owners of cars and trucks are allowed a maximum of 120 liters of subsidized gasoline per month, while motorcycles can get up to 60 liters within the same timeframe.
**Host:** And this system has been in place for some time, correct?
**María:** Yes, it has been maintained since June 2020, aimed at managing the country’s fuel supply, especially given the scarcity of resources.
**Host:** Now, I understand there’s a requirement for users to access these subsidies. What do people need to do to qualify?
**María:** To access subsidized gasoline, individuals must have a balance in their Patria System wallet. Specifically, they need at least 25.20 bolivars, which is a small fraction of the actual price in dollars. Funds can be transferred from national bank accounts or drawn from bonuses assigned within the wallet.
**Host:** It sounds like there are a number of steps involved. What challenges do residents face with this system?
**María:** Many residents face difficulties, primarily due to the complicated process of maintaining the wallet balance. Additionally, there are reports of long lines and delays at gas stations, which can take hours. There’s also the issue of corruption and the black market for gasoline, which complicates the situation further.
**Host:** That paints a vivid picture of the current landscape. Thank you so much for shedding light on this, María. It sounds like the gasoline distribution system in Venezuela, while designed to help, brings its own set of challenges to the people.
**María:** Thank you for having me! It’s important to keep discussing these issues as they impact the daily lives of many Venezuelans.
**Host:** Absolutely. Thanks again, and we will continue to monitor this situation.
