Israeli forces fired tear gas last night at a soccer field in the town of Al Ram, in occupied East Jerusalem, when the final of the Palestine Cup was being playedin some incidents that caused players and fans to suffocate, and that caused the game to be temporarily suspended.

The Red Crescent emergency services treated several affected people on the premises, and three people had to be evacuated to the hospital.

The president of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril Rajoubpresent at the match, said that “attacking the players and the public with gas is a shame for the Israeli occupation.”

Following the incidents, the match for the final of the Palestine Cup was resumed by mutual agreement between the teams and football authorities and Jabal Mukaber finally won the dispute.
