Garry and Lesley McNally lived in a large house with their three children. When they became adults and left the nest, they considered moving to a bungalow they had fallen in love with some time before. After some refreshment work, they were finally able to move into the house that was to see them grow old together.
But barely eight months later, Garry passed away with a heart attack, leaving Lesley alone in their new home, whose work was not finished.
But some time following her death, she had a very nice surprise. For years, Garry had entered their house (first the old one, then the new one) in a game called People’s Postcode Lottery. This game of chance consists of winning people who have listed their house according to their postal code. In May, Lesley had the chance to win nearly 170,000 euros thanks to this lottery game. She and other neighbors hit the jackpot.
Lesley confides via Metro.co.uk: “It’s incredible and it will change the life of the family. Everything will be shared. It’ll help me and the boys. I’m happy to have won but it’s tinged with sadness because we’ve been playing for a long time and Garry isn’t here to see it. »
All the winners shared almost a million euros. 12 winners from his neighborhood were lucky! “Now I’m just going to enjoy and do what we wanted to do. »
