A few days before the demonstration of the living forces of Guinea planned for September 5, 2023 marking the anniversary date of the advent of the CNRD to power, the government spokesperson is increasing his outings to call on those responsible for the FVG to be cautious.
While the actors gathered within this entity maintain their watchword, Ousmane Gaoual Diallo thinks that they must give the negotiation a chance.
“I appeal to the Guinean political class to show responsibility, to seize this opportunity for dialogue which is always available. It is possible to demonstrate, but it is also possible to gather around the table to discuss. These two approaches are not incompatible, and it is our duty to find crisis resolution mechanisms that promote peace and the progress of our nation”launched the government spokesperson through a post on his Facebook account.
The Minister believes that it is time to put aside certain contradictions to celebrate the achievements.
He salutes the constancy of the government which has not closed the door to dialogue. For him, it is the responsibility to ensure that the exercise of the right to demonstrate is not a source of violence that risks causing victims.
“I would like to remind you that our country Guinea is our common good. There are times when perhaps we need to put aside certain contradictions to celebrate what we have in common. That doesn’t mean we should forget our disagreements, but maybe we’ll give differentiation between events a chance. It is of the utmost responsibility that the exercise of our rights does not turn into a source of violence, victims and trauma for our nation. This is why I salute the government’s steadfastness in keeping the negotiating table open and in offering vacancies for all those who wish to participate in the dialogue”.
Crises, contradictions and political debates will always exist in the country, recalls the government spokesperson.
However, it is essential for political actors and the government to work together to resolve them constructively, concluded Ousmane Gaoual Diallo.
