Ganja smuggling was being done on a truck written in Azamgarh

Azamgarh: In Azamgarh district, the police recovered a large quantity of ganja. About 3 quintals of ganja were recovered in the joint action of police and SOG team of Nizamabad police station of Azamgarh. Police arrested two smugglers. The police and SOG team of Nizamabad police station were going to arrest the wanted accused. Only then saw two DCMs which were being thrown into each other. Both the accused who went to inquire got nervous and told the police that it contained ganja.

On army duty was written on DCM

In the two DCMs from which the police had recovered a huge quantity of ganja, one had a paper written on army duty pasted on it. Ganja was being supplied from the DCM in the name of army duty, both the vehicles had the number of Maharashtra province. At present, the police have recovered both the DCMs.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Arun Kumar Dixit said that the checking operation was being carried out by the police when the police team suspected a DCM and questioned him. It was found that ganja was kept in it. The police called the higher officer and inquired and over 3 quintals of ganja was recovered and the DCM on which the ganja was recovered. There was a sticker on him on army duty.

Superintendent of Police Rural told that this lo used to supply ganja earlier also. The police have arrested two now. The search for people is going on, strict action will be taken following arresting them soon.
