‘Gangs of Vasaipur’ was not found on request like bathing with milk: Ravi

Indian actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan has revealed that he had to wash his hands of the popular film ‘Gangs of Vasaipur’ because of ‘arrogant’ demands like ‘milk baths and real flower beds’.

When host Rajat Sharma on Zee TV’s show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ asked Ravi Kishan about the rumors about his arrogant behavior, he laughingly admitted that he was a producer at the height of his fame. He asked for milk to bathe and a bed of flowers to sleep on.

The actor said: ‘I used to bathe in milk and sleep on rose petals. I felt like I was the main actor and it was all very important. People start showing you films of Alpachino and Robert De Niro and say that if these actors do it, you should do it too. The Godfather was shown five hundred times and I remained a country artist. Well, that’s why I dramatized all this, because it creates a bit of atmosphere. I thought that if I bathed in milk, it would bring me fame.’

Ravi Kishan further said that there was a time when he had to suffer due to his demands.

According to him: ‘I was fired from the film Gangs of Wasepur because they (producers) said that who will bring 25 liters of milk daily and who will bathe it, it is better not to take it in the film. I also suffered from this behavior and then I left it all.’

He added: ‘Suddenly when you come from poverty and find something, success blinds you. Mumbai Mahanagari is huge and it doesn’t take long for you to go crazy here. Mumbai can make you crazy instantly. Money is pouring in from everywhere. People are taking photos wherever they go. In the beginning, I was a little crazy when I became a new superstar.’

Ravi Kishan said that he improved and became ‘normal’ after joining Bigg Boss.

According to him: ‘My wife also attended the show and encouraged me saying that I have become too selfish.’

In the year 2019, on The Kapil Sharma Show, Ravi said that he regretted losing Gangs of Wasepur.

But he said he was not cast because of false rumors that he wanted a Maharaja treatment.

Ravi had said: ‘Yes it’s funny but it’s also true but I was shocked when I found out the reason. There was a rumor that I am an actor who gets irritable on the sets and likes to be treated like a Maharaja, which was completely unfounded.’

Ravi later worked with Gangs of Wasepur director Anurag Kashyap in a film titled ‘Makka Baaz’.
