I am out on the shores of Gangneung Port.

The wind is strong enough to stagger and the waves are rushing behind me.

The typhoon damage has not been counted yet, but news of the search for the missing has just arrived.

About 10 am, two hours ago, a report was received that a person in his 40s was missing at Mangsang Beach in the East Sea, and the Coast Guard launched a search.

The waves were high and the waterway was blocked.

As a storm warning was issued due to a typhoon, passenger ship operations at Gangneung Port were suspended today, and the Ulleungdo passenger ship departing from Mukho Port in the East Sea is also stranded.

Although it did not rain heavily on the east coast of Gangwon, it was under the influence of the typhoon until the followingnoon, and it was predicted that 5 to 40 mm of rain would fall in the future.

The accumulated precipitation since yesterday was 107 mm in Seoraksan Mountain, 83 in Samcheok Dogye, 80 in Wangsan in Gangneung, and 56 mm in Yangyang.

In the mountainous areas of Gangwon and the plains of six cities and counties along the east coast, strong winds with a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 15 to 25 meters per second are blowing depending on where a strong wind advisory has been issued.

All trails to Taebaeksan National Park are controlled.

In addition, some trains, such as the Gangneung-Donghae section of the Yeongdong Line and the Donghae-Cheongnyangni section of the Taebaek Line, have been suspended or changed.

A wind warning has been issued in the central part of the East Sea, and very high waves of up to 10m are rising, so regarding 2,800 fishing boats in the east coast of Gangwon have evacuated.

In addition, there is a possibility that the swell may cross the breakwater or the coastal road, so it is necessary to refrain from approaching the surrounding area and to be careful regarding flooding or damage to facilities.
