The Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office announced on Friday that, among other things, weapons and drugs were confiscated in large quantities during several searches. In recent months, police presence has increased in the affected areas – in the past four weeks alone, more than a thousand people and around 500 vehicles have been checked.
The investigators said that more than 20 violations were found that were unrelated to the gang war. In addition, four suspects with ties to the rival groups were arrested following a robbery.
Shots in bars
Investigators have been monitoring the armed gang clashes in the Stuttgart area since the summer of 2022. The rival groups are suspected to be involved in criminal activities. There were numerous violent incidents, including several shootings around bars.
Some cases are already before the courts. In March, two men were sentenced to prison for shooting at a shisha bar.
