Gang member accused of homicide and other crimes arrested in Villa Nueva

A gang member from the Mara Salvatrucha gang who had two arrest warrants for homicide and promoting or encouraging drug addiction was arrested on Tuesday, July 16.
The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that at a bus stop on El Frutal Boulevard, zone 5 of Villa Nueva, police from the 15th Precinct captured Belter “N”, 39 years old.
The detainee has several tattoos that identify him with the aforementioned gang.
The PNC added that in the last 24 hours, 61 people accused of various crimes have been arrested, nine weapons have been seized, and two vehicles and a motorcycle have been recovered.
Of the 61 people arrested, 21 were in the capital and 40 in the departments; 38 were detained by order of judges.
Among the arrests is the one recorded in Los Aposentos, zone 1 of Chimaltenango, where investigators captured Marlon “N”, 38 years old.

The detainee is accused of violence once morest women in its physical manifestation in the private sphere.
