Canmore – Biathlete Anna Gandler achieved her best World Cup result with sixth place in the sprint at the start of the season finale in Canmore. In fantastic weather in Canada on Thursday, Gandler made a mistake in the standing stage on his way to a podium finish. At the finish, the 23-year-old Tyrolean was 27.7 seconds behind the victorious Italian Lisa Vittozzi. With the third-best running time, Gandler was only 19.1 seconds short of her first World Cup podium.
