Gamescom 2024 will feature more exhibitors than ever before

While June is known as the most important month in the video game industry, with in-person and digital events from the most important companies in the market, such as Sony with PlayStation, Microsoft with Xbox, Ubisoft Forward and Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest, August has Gamescom, the largest video game exhibition in all of Europe.

“Following last year’s strong growth, we look forward to setting new records with Gamescom, with even more exhibitors and increased international participation,” said Tim Endres, Gamescom Director.

“Fans, industry professionals and partners around the world will be able to experience an even more diverse Gamescom this year with new features such as the new social stage, cards and boards and artist areas.”

As is tradition, Geoff Keighley will be back for Gamescom Opening Night Live, the inaugural event returning on August 20, with the main event running from August 21-25.

“One thing is certain: Gamescom 2024 will once once more be the ultimate gaming festival,” said Felix Falk, CEO of the German Game Industry Association.

“One of the highlights is the growing international character of Gamescom, which can also be attributed to the creation of satellite events Gamescom Asia and Gamescom Latam.”

Which industry giants will be taking part in Gamescom 2024?

While Koelnmesse has not yet confirmed the full list of which publishers, developers or video game-related companies will be taking part in the event, it is already known that ni PlayStation nor Nintendo will be part of the event.

On the other hand, Xbox confirmed that they will have the “largest booth to date” in their participation this year. 2K, Amazon Games, AMD, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Focus Entertainment, Hoyoverse, Konami, Krafton, Lego, Level Infinite, Meta Quest, NetEase Games, Nexon, Plaion, Sega, Square Enix, Team 17, The Pokémon Company, THQ Nordic, TikTok and Ubisoft also confirmed their presence at the event.
